Monday afternoon's candidate announcement marks the beginning of the Engineering Student Council's week-long campaigning period. The top two positions for ESC 2010 remain uncontested, with members of the Expresh party Heather Lee and Joffre Andrade running for Class president and vice president respectively.
ESC already voted on its next Executive Board in a closed internal election on March 23, and chose Whitney Green, SEAS ’10 and current ESC secretary, as the next ESC president. For more information on the E-board elections, click here.
Voters can hear the candidates sound off at a forum, which will be held on Friday from 5-7 p.m. in Lerner's Satow room.
Voting will run from April 13 to April 15, giving candidates one week to campaign--a period shorter than those at other Columbia undergraduate schools, though longer than the ESC campaigning period has been in the past.
