I’ve written this column in my head about 400 times, and it changes every time.

I suppose that, when I send in the final version and then read it the next day, I’ll still want to change it. Some things will work, some things won’t, and I’ll mentally rewrite this column another 400 times, because no one column will ever do four years at Spectator justice.

Dartmouth defeats Columbia lacrosse in Ancient Eight finale

With just a second remaining in the first half and up by one over Dartmouth, it seemed like Columbia might finally be building some positive momentum. The Lions were riding a three-game winning streak coming into the weekend’s Ivy League finale, a streak that included their first conference victory of the year. And against the 16th-ranked Big Green, the Light Blue had overcome another early deficit, taking a 6-5 lead with two minutes left before the break.

Olawale, Bell show their stuff in QB absence

M.A. Olawale didn’t mince words when asked to describe his performance as quarterback of the White team in Saturday’s Blue-White scrimmage.

“It was rough,” Olawale said. “I had my moments, I had my not-so-good moments.”
